When and where is the Hunger Walk?
The walk is on November 10th at the Catholic Life Center. Music and hunger awareness activities begin at 1:30 pm. Get ready to walk around 2:30 pm!
How do I register for the walk?
You can register to walk by pressing the "register" button at the top right of the webpage. There will also be registration on the day of the event beginning at 1:30 pm.
How much does it cost to register?
There is no registration fee to walk, but goodwill donations are accepted. A goodwill donation of $10 / walker is suggested.
I am unable to walk that day. How can I help?
Donations can be made securely online by using the "donate" button at the top right corner of this webpage. Donations can also be mailed to the Interfaith Federation office at 3112 Convention Street, Baton Rouge 70806. All proceeds from the Hunger Walk are shared by Holy Grill and the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.
How long is the walk?
The walk is approximately 2 miles. Shorter routes are available for those who may have trouble walking the whole route.
I'm in high school. Can I get service hours by participating in this event?
High school students can receive service credit by participating in the walk. Please contact either the community service coordinator at your school or the Interfaith Federation / Holy Grill at or call 267-5600.
How can I help?
Form a team and raise donations to fight hunger in Baton Rouge. Consider getting your employer on board as a corporate sponsor. Businesses and organizations can also donate drinks or snacks for the walkers on the day of the event.
When should I arrive?
On-site registration begins at 1:30 pm. Enjoy music. Participate in hunger awareness activities. Get ready to walk !
